In the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park, a stone’s throw from the Lac de Sainte Croix, and 4 km from the magnificent Gorges du Verdon. Around the municipal campsite Les Ruisses, sports activities are numerous in the middle of this heavenly environment.

For hikers

Breathtaking trails with cliffs from 300 to 700 meters high! The unique turquoise blue of the Verdon!
In the heart of the Parc du Verdon, you will cross landscapes with a wild and unique character.

The amazing walks of the Gorges du Verdon

• Le sentier Blanc-Martel (~16 km for 6 to 7 hours of effort), the best known hike.
• Le sentier de l’Imbut (~10 km for 5 hours of effort), very difficult and sporty level route is one of the most beautiful trails in the Gorges du Verdon!
• Le sentier du Bastidon from the village of La Palud-sur-Verdon, walk for 5 km (4h30 round trip)
• Plein Voir par le col de l’Âne offers you an exceptional point of view on the meeting between the Lac de Sainte-Croix and the Gorges.

Water sports

At 200m you will find the beach in front of our campsite where you can discover all the turquoise blue Lac de Sainte Croix with your own water sports equipment (Kayak, Windsurfing, Paddle). You can also enjoy endless swimming.

At the Base Nautique Les Salles sur Verdon you can take sailing lessons in a catamaran or funboat.

Pont du Galetas

You will find 4 km from the campsite the Pont du Galetas, the place where the Verdon river flows into the lake of Sainte Croix, also the exit of the Gorges du Verdon. The bridge offers a beautiful panoramic view of the gorges. Here are countless rental options to explore the gorge with pedal boats, canoes, electric boats.

For cyclists

Descent into the Gorges du Verdon, cycling through the lavender fields, climbing to the Corniche Suiblime, many cycling dreams have already come true here, also an ideal training place for triathletes.

Leaving the campsite

Whether you turn right or left from the campsite, after 1 or 2 km respectively, you can start the formidable climb to the Corniche Sublime (800 altimeters), the start of the Tour de Gorges, a 100 km bike ride with 1800 altimeters .

Thanks to its ideal location on the CD957, the possibilities are endless for beginners and experienced cyclists alike to take a nice bike ride from our campsite. On a road bike, but also on an e-bike or mountain bike, so take it with you if possible. The experienced cyclists at the campsite can always give you advice. (be careful, no cycle path!)

Mont Ventoux

Many cyclists from our campsite take a day trip by car every year to climb the famous Mont Ventoux. On a clear day you can admire the bare summit of Mont Ventoux from Aiguines.
