Come and stay at the Les Ruisses municipal campsite, located in the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park. Our 2-star campsite welcomes you to one of our 210 tourist pitches, semi-shaded or sunny, on a 3-hectare site near the village of Les Salles-sur-Verdon and just 200m from Lac de Sainte Croix.

Les Ruisses campsite has been welcoming you for more than 40 years for authentic holidays to the rhythm of the sun, far from the daily grind in a simple but heavenly setting !

The reception and the team

Christel and Christian will be happy to welcome you whether you are in a tent, caravan or motorhome for just one night, or throughout your stay in the VAR.
Reserved or not it is possible. When you arrive, you must always go to reception with at least one piece of identification for your check-in. We can show you your location with our electric golf cart. The reception is also accessible to the disabled. The entrance to the campsite is secured by access barriers that work with a unique code that you obtain on arrival.

As for services: our reception is also at your disposal for tourist information and as a postal point of contact. You are always welcome !

Opening hours: 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (April-September)
Arrivals: During reception opening hours.
Departures: The location must be free by 12:00 p.m.

Multi Service Point

This year the multi-service point, at the entrance of the campsite, which until last year offered bread, pastries, hot drinks, refreshments and all sorts of things that contributed to making your stay pleasant, will no longer be managed by the municipality. But rest assured, a local shop will open its doors for the 2023 season to offer most of the basic necessities, as well a small restaurant. This is also the reason why you will no longer find the food trucks like in previous years. Please be assured that everything is being done to ensure that you have a pleasant stay at our campsite.

Our Pitches

210 tourist pitches, semi-shaded or sunny

Most of the pitches have electricity but there is also a section on the campsite without electricity, ideal for backpackers and bicycle tourists. All pitches are different depending on terrain and trees, which gives the campsite its characteristic charm. The dimensions on average from 70 to 90 m².

Don’t forget a good hammer and strong pegs, because clay soil and stones are hard, grass doesn’t grow, because the sun is shining here 🙂 For tents, we also recommend a tarpaulin to protect the floor from your tent.

No rental of mobile homes, tents or refrigerators!

Charcoal BBQ is strictly prohibited on the pitch!

Due to the risk of fire due to the hot climate of the VAR, all open fires, including charcoal barbecues, are prohibited on your own pitch, by the lake … Gas and electric barbecues up to 1300W are allowed.

You can use our cozy collective BBQ with picnic tables with your charcoal, so don’t forget to bring your grill!

The collective barbecue is authorized from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. so start on time…

Sanitaries

In all of our sanitary facilities, you can do your dishes and your laundry. The showers are equipped with hot and cold water, and at the sinks you will find sockets for, for example, your razor or your hair dryer. There is also a special corner for babies (-3 years old).

A shower and a toilet for the disabled are located in the sanitary building S2 as well as the exhaust air for the motorhomes.

In the evening at 10:00 p.m. the lighting in the washing-up and shower areas goes out, the lights in the toilets are on all night. Please do not make noise at night, due to the quietness of the campsite.

In low season, when the occupation of the campsite is lower, generally only Sanitaire S2 is open. We do this for the environment and hope you understand.

The sanitary facilities are scattered throughout the campsite and cleaned several times a day.

Washing machines and dryers

To the right of the Multi Service Point you will find the space with the washing machines and the dryer. This space is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. There are 2 washing machines and 1 dryer, you don’t need to use your detergent, it’s included and goes through the machine automatically. There is a user manual displayed.

The washing machines can perform a 6 kg wash and the cost is €6 per one.
The dryer can hold 7 kg at a time and costs €3 for 30 minutes.

In high season it can get crowded in the morning, but you can always do your laundry later in the day. In our region, laundry dries quickly.

Playground with ping-pong tables

In the center of the campsite is a playground where children can have fun in complete safety. A small slide, spring games, a crab to pass the time while having fun and meeting new friends.
There are also 2 ping pong tables, so don’t forget to bring your ping pong paddles!

The playground opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m., for the places located around.

Petanque court

At the entrance to the campsite is the pétanque court. Every day around 5:00 p.m. our regular customers start their daily competition. You are always welcome, so don’t forget your petanque balls! the site is always accessible but we stop when it gets dark!

For your safety

For your safety, reinforced fire hoses (RIA) are scattered throughout the site. There are also fire extinguishers on the buildings, toilets, at the collective BBQ, at the Multi Service Point and at Reception.

A first aid kit is available at reception and at the Multi Service Point.

To the right of the Multi Service Point counter you will find an AED.

There are security cameras.

Les pompiers et une maison de santé sont présents dans la village de Aups (à 20 minutes). L’hôpital est à 45 km à Draguignan.
