Perhaps the most beautiful way to discover the Gorges du Verdon and the Regional Natural Park is by bike. Hundreds of kilometers of climbing and descending in one of the most beautiful protected natural areas in Europe. The varied views of lavender fields and the characteristic Provencal villages combined with the rugged nature will amaze you, and you will then realize, I will definitely come back to this beautiful place!

April, May, June, late August, September and October are the best months to ride! In high season it can be very hot, but most rides are doable as long as you leave on time. For longer journeys, we recommend taking 2 filled water bottles with you, you can refill these on the way at the various water sources, so drink enough!
Tour du Lac de Sainte-Croix 16%
Distance: 56 km From the campsite turn right, after Moustiers left the 16% direction Sainte-Croix, via Plateau de Valensole (lavender fields), the bridge and Bauduen, back again.
Hint! To avoid the 16%, you can drive through Riez. The 16% in the lightest gear 🙂
Distance: 64 km Departure via Salles sur Verdon, direction Aups, in Aups turn left towards Tourtour, Vérignon then back to Les Salles sur Verdon.
Hint! You can fill your water bottle(s) and also eat something in Tourtour, about halfway through the route!
Route des Crêtes
Distance: 75 km Right from the campsite, 2nd right towards La Palud – Castellane, just after La Palud the Route des Crêtes starts a circuit of 25 km with the most beautiful views of the Gorges du Verdon, on the return in La Palud you can sit on a terrace, then return the same way through Gorges du Verdon, the most beautiful descent in the area!
Hint! Fill up your water bottle(s) at the water source in La Palud for the Route des Crêtes and then relax on a terrace in La Palud!
Fietsroute Natureman Var 2019
Distance: 88km from Salles sur Verdon, take Aiguines, Trigance, Soleils, Point Sublime, La Palud back through the Gorges du Verdon, the beautiful descent!
Hint! Fill up your water bottle(s) at the water source of Vaumale and Soleils and eat at the Moulin de Soleils along the way, about half way up!
Allemagne-en-Provence – Aups
Distance: 96 km Directly from the campsite turn right, via Moustiers, Puimoisson, Riez, Germany-en-Provence, Quinson, Aups back.
Hint! Refill your water bottle(s) in Riez and Quinson!
Tour du Lacs (Lac de Sainte-Croix, Lac d’Esparron)
Distance: 115 km From the campsite, at Moustiers, the 16%, Plateau Valensole, near Germany-en-Provence, direction Gréoux-les-Bains, Lac d’Esparron, back via Quinson and Montpezat.

Tour de Gorges XL 1 easy
Distance: 132 km From the campsite, 2nd right towards La Palud – Castellane, just after Castellane towards Le Bourguet, Comps, back via Montferrat, Ampus, Verignon.

Col du Belle Homme & Gorges du Verdon
Distance: 129 km left of campsite towards Aups, Verignon, Ampus, Châteaudouble, just after Verignon right towards Bargemon, at Bargeman left towards Col du Belle Homme, just before Comps right, at Soleils, La Palud back via Gorges du Verdon, the beautiful descent!
Hint! Fill up your water bottle(s) at Ampus, Châteaudouble, Soleils & La Palud.
Castellane – Barrême – Mézel
Distance: 138km Immediately from the campsite turn right, through the Gorges du Verdon; La Palud, Castellane, Senez, Barrême, Châteauredon, Mézel, Estoublon, Puimoisson, back via Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

Fietsroute Natureman Verdon 2016
Distance: 90 km Departure to the right from the campsite, 1st right towards Aiguines, towards Aups, Les Salles, Moustiers, then the 16% up the plateau, Sainte Croix, Bauduen, short distance towards Verignon and then back to Les Salles sur Verdon.

Route des Gorges, Route des Crêtes
Distance: 120 km from Salles sur Verdon, take Aiguines, Comps-sur-Artuby, Soleils, Point Sublime, Route des Crêtes, La Palud sur Verdon and return to Les Salles/Verdon.
